Polished concrete

Don't get confused! Polished concrete is not troweled concrete which gets a topcoat of quartz.

Polished concrete is a mechanical grinding and polishing process, which is similar to sanding wood.

Heavy-duty polishing machines equipped with progressively finer grits of diamond-impregnated segments or pads are used to gradually grind down surfaces to the desired degree of shine and smoothness.

Terrazzo / Granito

Granito or Terrazzo is the oldest floor with its origin from Venezia . It is very similar to traditional concrete with the only difference that sand and gravel have been substituted by noble stones (crushed marble, granite, crystals…)

Coatings

“Polished concrete” might not be the best choice in some environments where you expect lots of fluid spillage.
For these environment another kind of coating is needed (polyurea, epoxy…)
However, you still need the floor to be flatten.
